I'm sitting at the Seattle airport and thinking that this place is a monster, particularly for international flights. Ridiculously complex to negotiate, pathetic signage. I took three airport trains to get to my gate. And what is with the pathetic signage at customs? Two choices -- visitors and U.S. citizens. Hello, how about residents? Flummoxing.

Just in a foul mood, don't mind my rant.

Sole bright spot is ATT wifi, airport-wide.

Anyone want to submit their choice for annoying airports?

Permanent residents are generally grouped with US citizens. I've never seen a separate section for them at customs. If you have a green card, it should be the same as entering with a US passport.

Got it -- that's the line I got in. But I'm not a citizen -- I found it unhelpful. The sign should say "U.S. citizens and residents" or something.

JFK and LaGuardia are both nightmares out of a Fellini movie. Not the most impressive introduction to the USA.

Worst and best
Worst domestic airports: LAX and Miami.
Best domestic airports: O'Hare, Atlanta-Heartsfield, Houston, and all the little second-tier places like Burbank, Midway, Long Beach, etc., where it takes about 5 minutes from walking to the gate.
Worst international airports: Heathrow and Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Also, the Florence Airport in Italy, too tiny and disorganized.
Best international airports: Frankfurt, Munich, Amsterdam-Schipol, Singapore
