| Iron Eagle | Posted 10/17/2007 4:18:12 PM | show profile First in real news not that flame throwing nonsense FOX tries to pass off as fact. You should change channels for awhile and give the brain a rest. Sarah Silverman's on later. She'll give you a jolt. |

| LurkerLou | Posted 10/18/2007 8:09:29 AM | show profile You want to know what's even funnier? Out of that 227,000 demo figure 39,000 of them are the useless DVR viewers who fast foward through the commercials or don't even get back to watch the program again. Bottom line Olby 188,000 demo viewers lol |
| JIMBO99 | Posted 10/18/2007 9:40:26 AM | show profile No Joy for the Libs.......... "Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright, The band is laying somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light, And somewhere men are laughing, and little children shout; But there is no joy in Canada -- mighty Keef has struck out." AGAIN! |
| newfrickinshow | Posted 10/19/2007 9:28:20 AM | show profile ratings don't mean much I mean WWE Monday Night Raw gets higher ratings than O'Reilly. Fox Nes has ruined the concept of news. Before them, it was believed that a true news show lost money. The news division wasn't expected to turn a profit. News was dry, boring, and uninteresting. Fox News changed that and preached to the right wing, took sides, and told certain people what they wanted to hear. They brought about the increase of sensationalism and attention-grabbing crap. The last couple weeks on Countdown top stories have included FISA bill passage and its potential impact, the veto of the S-CHIP, and Bush's talk about a potential "World War 3." Bill-O has spent like 5 of his top stories over the last couple weeks on "I'm not a racist!" I heard most of the hour that started and I don't think Bill is an overt racist. He said a lot of nice and positive things, such as his story about his grandmother. Problem is he said one or two stupid things that could be seen as offensive. He thanked black people for finally thinking for themselves and not blindly following Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. He said that he couldn't get over a restraunt in Harlem that was owned by blacks and largely patroned by blacks was just like any other restraunt in Harlem. His overall message was good, but messed up by a couple of stupid statements. Rather than apologize and move on, he spent two weeks attacking the people who heard it and made it available. He even trotted out Jesse Jackson for the first time in 11 years to defend him. |
| Olbypocrisy | Posted 10/19/2007 9:42:03 AM | show profile Olbermann took time away from his childish name calling and rants to bash Bush. Wow thats real news. |
| LurkerLou | Posted 10/19/2007 9:44:09 AM | show profile HAHAHAHAHA!!! I just love these loser liberals saying ratings don't mean much. Nuff said! LOL |
| newfrickinshow | Posted 10/19/2007 10:17:25 AM | show profile High ratings Generally go to two things, especially on cable. Sports and crap. Highest ratings among broadcast TV are Dancing with the Stars, CSI, Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, House. Though 60 minutes did check in the top ten which I guess is something. Last week's highest cable ratings were the Cowboys/Bills game, a couple MLB playoff games, Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, Twitches Two, and Sponge Bob. Ratings matter in entertainment, not news. Of course Fox Noise Channel is neither. I watch the Factor every day. Not to get informed and I'm definitely not entertained. I just prefer to listen to both sides. I have occasionally agreed with Bill O'Reilly, about once every couple months. BTW, about the queers dressed as nuns in Frisco. They did this to get attention and piss off the religious right. When Bill went on the air raging and bitching about it, he gave the idiots just what they wanted: attention. Sometimes the best way to discourage moronic and attention seeking behavior. When I want to attack the Catholic church, I go to a history book. There's enough crap they've done in the past that I don't feel a need to start new stuff. |
| Olbypocrisy | Posted 10/19/2007 11:35:19 AM | show profile You mean Cowboys/Pats. |
| newfrickinshow | Posted 10/19/2007 12:05:15 PM | show profile No I mean what I said. It was for the week of October 8, 2007. That night the 'boys and bills were on Monday Night Football, always a huge ratings grab. Pats and Cowboys I believe were a Sunday afternoon and I believe not on cable. Though most of the country had it available anyways. |
| Olbypocrisy | Posted 10/19/2007 12:48:15 PM | show profile CSI was the most watched program on tv last week. Last week's Cowboy's/Pats game killed CSI and all other shows on tv for that week. Thought you was talking about that game.SORRY!! |
| newfrickinshow | Posted 10/19/2007 4:40:38 PM | show profile no problem It deserved to do that though, it was a great game. I kind of wish the NFL would do something about that calling a defenses calling a TO one second before the snap on field goal attempts. It seems kind of hokey and it kind of pisses me off. I'm growing to really dislike Belichick. |
