I turned down a job offer to get my "foot-in-the-door" at a major magazine...due to my financial situation and having to move on a whim. I am young, just two years out of school.

Will there be another chance? Obviously I'm doing something right if I have leads to NYC. Is it worth the struggle in the beginning to "get in" somewhere?

Would that employer consider me again if I nutured that relationship and keep them up-to-date with my progress? Or have they moved on because they don't expect me to be serious about an opportunity?

Well, we're about to hire someone who turned down our offer 9 months ago....so yes, I'd say it pays to keep in touch. You never know down the road what will come up, so the more networking you do the better.

Never assume anything. Always give it a shot!

Good luck,
Pam
