I'm working with a record label that has just released a new Willie Nelson CD. Of course I'm getting press but I am looking to track it a little more closely. Is there a service that tracks national coverage without having to sell my first born? I'm not talking about search engine alerts. And yes, I am a professional, just a little brain dead this morning.

For print, Factiva is pretty affordable; for broadcast, try Video Monitoring Service.

Have you looked at rates for MediaMonitoring through PRNewswire? You might also want to consider accessing Proquest or OneSource.

IODA
Are you working with IODA, the digital music aggregator? If your label is working with them - and it is a strong possibility if you're releasing something as big as a Willie Nelson Cd, then you should consider IODA's promo services. They have "PromoNet," a really affordable service that aids with promotion of the album to the digital stores - you pay a small and reasonable fee once you want to begin using the data information they gather about the press contacts who access your data and write about you, including bloggers and all.

Great service. Are you doing PR for just the one album, or are you in-house?

Thanks writenow, I am working with the label. We have four releases before the end of the year. I will check into the company you mentioned but there are some unusual circumstances here that might not lend itself to that.
