Topic: Where do you go from Web Editor?

| artfuse | Posted 10/19/2007 4:13:56 PM | show profile I know there have been some posts about this, but I am looking at a web editor job (entry level) where I basically summarize stories from the publication or other sources and send it out in a newsletter. Seems like a pretty expendable position to me. But what I'm wondering is where could I go from here? Does this give me any transferable skills that will help me move up in the future? |

If you want to move into a traditional editorial role (magazine or newspaper), this might be a good start also, since you will be composing a newsletter and moving around copy. Gaining Web experience, in general, I think is a great investment in the career bank, since a lot of traditional print publications are beginning to lean toward this medium more. |
