so far it looks like FBN's promise to be the network of Main Street is empty.. unless you considered live hits in Times Square to be Main St.
Ironically -- the closest they've come so far to going off Wall St was their over-used cliche of a peacock hunting live shot in NJ.

FBN unlikely to ever find Main St.. let alone by mid-week
jimbo -- a 5'er says they'll never find Main St.
Face it - they could not have had a bigger, more important news week in which to launch (from a biz standpoint) and they whiffed. they muddled their way through earnings, and had to do man-on-the-street intvs as the market fell apart Friday because their "hot floor reporter" at NYSE was too busy purging her lunch to cover the news.

Face the facts -- financial journalism will always be tied to numbers/eco data/earnings/forecasts/relative valuations etc etc.. and while you can assemble a panel to debate these -- you have to know what they are and why they matter or you're just gonna look stupid... on any street.
