| UrbanMuse | Posted 11/2/2007 7:26:47 PM | show profile | email poster MB's How to Pitch article for Seventeen hasn't been updated in awhile. I emailed a query about a relationship topic to Melanie Abrams and it bounced. I tried to check MB's directory of mastheads but couldn't find any info. Anyone know who to pitch at Seventeen for an article about relationships? ------ www.UrbanMuseWriter.com |
| Newsy | Posted 11/3/2007 7:18:53 PM | show profile Hi there -- if I remember correctly, Melanie left Seventeen maybe a few months ago. I've emailed several pitches and haven't had much luck. The contact I use is Elisa Benson (ebenson@hearst.com). Maybe you'll have more luck than I did. Let us know! |
| kaceclosed | Posted 11/4/2007 11:28:31 AM | show profile Melanie has been replaced by erin meanley, but they don't tend to use freelancers v. often for their relationship sections. |
| lenagrove | Posted 11/5/2007 9:13:40 AM | show profile I used to write for SEVENTEEN a good bit, but they've gotten to where they use very few freelancers for anything. |
| seeattleme | Posted 11/5/2007 10:54:25 AM | show profile I pitched an idea awhile back . Got an email saying she'd run it by the editors, then nothing. Followed up, then nothing. So I pitched it to a competitior and got the assignment. |
