| theMagHag | Posted 11/5/2007 12:09:33 PM | show profile | email poster When sending writing samples via e-mail along with a resume and cover letter, what is the best format to use? I have most of my clips only in hard copy format and could scan them but then the files are generally too large. How can I change these into files acceptable for attachments in e-mail? What is the preferred format for e-mailed writing samples? Any advice would be appreciated. |

Most writers send a link to a website or blog to show samples of their work. If the editor specifically requests only 1-2 samples, just put them in the body of the email, along with the publication name and date. Be sure to include all of your contact information at the end. |
