There may be some changes in layout/design/content where I work and I?m afraid that the amount of writing/editing I do could be drastically reduced to duties such as uploading photos, formatting, writing bulleted lists, and copying and pasting. I really do not want to work in an environment where I?m not doing actual editorial work (researching, editing, and writing longer length pieces). Also I don?t think that the changes would make for experiences that will be helpful in landing my next job. Obviously things aren?t definite yet and I would like to stay at this job if poss., is there a way I can make it clear that I do not want to be in a place where I?m not doing the editorial work I was hired for (I already do more non-editorial work than my predecessor) that doesn?t sound defensive/difficult/unprofessional? Sorry for vagueness (this is online-related) but I don?t want to give away many identifying factors.
