| conorpurcell | Posted 11/9/2007 8:34:05 PM | show profile | email poster Can anyone explain why American magazines have articles that break half way through and finish at the end of the magazine? UK magazines just have the whole article self contained and it is quite annoying to have to go thumbing through the issue to find the rest of the article. I am sure there is a valid reason. Anyone know? Thanks! |

Advertisers always want to be next to editorial, and by splitting up articles, more advertisers can be accomodated. Plus, when articles "jump" to the back of the magazine, readers have to thumb through more ad pages to get there. Just my thought. |
