| Iron Eagle | Posted 11/17/2007 5:30:47 PM | show profile How did we miss this? Olby the biblical scholar? |
| Olbypocrisy | Posted 11/17/2007 5:44:42 PM | show profile No, you just have to watch Olbermann to see him lie and make up stuff everynight. To watch Olbermann get it wrong while he was talking about BOR getting it wrong was priceless!!!! Typical of Olbermann. |
| Iron Eagle | Posted 11/17/2007 6:55:48 PM | show profile No one cares about this bogus post. Olbermann is our savior. |
| Olbypocrisy | Posted 11/17/2007 8:44:38 PM | show profile Than why are you posting.Don't be blinded by Olbermann's lies. |
| Iron Eagle | Posted 11/17/2007 9:21:34 PM | show profile Olby this post will die a natural death. |
| questoo1 | Posted 11/17/2007 10:20:56 PM | show profile haha he got his history of a fictional book wrong. YOU are the biggest freak out there |
| newfrickinshow | Posted 11/18/2007 1:31:05 AM | show profile eh, you've got one The book of Revelations was supposedly written after an angel or ghost of Jesus or something returned to tell John about the Apocalypse. I don't know what year it was supposed to have happened, but probably around 40 B.C. I probably would've picked it up if I cared about Biblical mythology in the slightest. The book is boring, the story-telling is crappy, and the characters for the most part are ridiculously one-dimensional. I tried to read it myself but was put off by the blatant contradictions and the family tree waste of time garbage. My only big problem with the New Testament I know about though happenst to be Revalations. Religious nuts use the impending apocalypse as an excuse for non enviromental policy. The world's going to end pretty soon anyways, so why not rape the world now and get what we can get out it while we have a chance. Idiots! |
| chucho | Posted 11/18/2007 4:40:19 AM | show profile I watched a lot of FNC in hotel rooms while traveling recently and was shocked at just how stupid the programming really is. I mean, I knew it was bad, but this was more or less the rundown of a handful of segments (I'm working from memory here): - Boy gets new heart, goes to see the Boston Red Sox - Segment on California Fires (reporter amazed at how one house is burned while one next door didn't get damaged) - Autistic boy gets new type of treatment, parents hopeful it will help him. - Short segment on the latest car bomb in Iraq - Another touchy-feely segment on child health - Back to the woldfires (reporter still amazed that one house is burned while another is still standing) - Something about a celebrity - Something else about a child getting treatment - A repeat of the same segment on the California wildfires (At the same time the reporter is still talkign about "fate" and how one house is damaged while one nearby isn't, CNN is scooping FN about the number of insurance claims filed so far int he wildfires story...) Seriously, FN really blows. PS: I don't really like Olbermann (liberals typically distinguish between commentary and hard news, while conservatives don't, which is why BOR is more popular among conservatives than Olberman is with liberals), but I also don't really understand the big deal about this Biblical "mistake". BOR said Revelations was written 5,000 years ago while Olberman said it was done about 2007 years ago? I don't really give a shit, but it seems to me that there's not much of a "ah-ha gotcha!" quality to this "mistake". It looks like "Newsbusters" and the OP of this post are really grasping at straws. But it is sweet that FN fills it's time reporting about touchy-feely subjects like sick children. It makes them soooo compassionate! It's like watching the Jerry Lewis telethon. |
| Olbypocrisy | Posted 11/18/2007 9:29:11 AM | show profile Fox haters are hypocrites It doesn't matter how much Olbermann lies,MSNBC,CNN, or the NYTimes lies .It doesn't matter how much fake stories the NYTimes runs. Its the evil Fox News that must be stopped. Its sad to see people blinded by their hate. CNN also scoop Fox News on whether Hillary preferred diamonds or pearls. It was a question they made someone ask. Good job CNN. CNN will plant a question like"Hillary do you wear thongs?" at the next debate. |
| Iron Eagle | Posted 11/18/2007 10:29:14 AM | show profile Incredibly stupid topic. The monkey's are back at BOR - Olbermann nonsense. |
| newfrickinshow | Posted 11/18/2007 2:44:52 PM | show profile Olby have you ever considered going to see a psychologist? You sound almost as paranoid as Bill O'Reilly himself. |
| robsemail | Posted 11/18/2007 5:49:11 PM | show profile Olby, do you seriously not understand the word "roughly"? Clearly, a "roughly" 3,000 year mistake is a hell of a lot bigger than a "roughly" 30 year mistake, which I understand is the length of time you people say this jesus dude lived. So it is indeed O'Reilly who is the stupid in all of this. |
| siperrono | Posted 11/18/2007 7:01:14 PM | show profile O'Reilley is a KNOB and a half. Former host of that tabloid junk show "Inside Edition". Ugh I hate that guy. |
| Olbypocrisy | Posted 11/18/2007 7:29:07 PM | show profile robsemail-- did you miss the fact that Olbermann was talking about BOR getting something wrong, than he gets it wrong himself? How can you talk about someone else getting it wrong than you get it wrong yourself?? This is typical of Olbermann. He gets it wrong everynight. |
| newfrickinshow | Posted 11/18/2007 7:55:30 PM | show profile Give him this one Billy's fans have so little to rejoice over, as entire documentaries have been produced and books written about the lies, misstatements, and just plain wrongness of Fox News. Some of the authors have challenged Bill to find one thing they got wrong about him and would apologize to O'Reilly on the air. The reason for this? Those 'character assassins' that are always going after Bill, are pretty much always on the money. So during Worst Person, Keith said 'died' when he should have said 'was born'. We'll see if Keith offers a correction, and until then, Olby and Frank can finally say they got one. |
| robsemail | Posted 11/18/2007 7:58:17 PM | show profile How could I have missed the fact that we're talking about two mistakes when I specifically mentioned each one, olby? Do you stop and think for even a couple seconds about what you're saying before you click the 'post reply' button? Keith Olbermann is probably like me. He considers the Jesus on whom our dating system is based to be a magical person who never existed. Born of a virgin. Son of a god. Able to perform magical feats that go far beyond mere illusion tricks. It's just too fantastical for some people, like me, to take seriously. If you believe all of that, why not believe in the literal truth of Harry Potter, too? I think it's understandable that Olbermann would make a mistake of 30 years when discussing magical events of - as he said - "roughly" 2,000 years ago. I still maintain that a mistake of 30-odd years is much smaller than a mistake of about 3,000. Apparently you feel differently. What a surprise. |
| Olbypocrisy | Posted 11/18/2007 8:03:55 PM | show profile Olby and Frank can finally say they got one?????????? Did you miss the Rudy lie?hoosier university?on and on i could listing examples of Olbermann's lies. |
| Olbypocrisy | Posted 11/18/2007 8:06:01 PM | show profile robsemail-- does this mean your a hypocrite? |
| robsemail | Posted 11/18/2007 8:32:58 PM | show profile No, olby, it means you're not very swift on the uptake. Wasn't O'Reilly talking about a mistake someone else made when he made his 3,000 year mistake? Someone like George Clooney, maybe? And the LA Times? And the ACLU? |
| robsemail | Posted 11/18/2007 8:51:49 PM | show profile "on and on i could listing examples of Olbermann's lies." Knock yourself out. |
| newfrickinshow | Posted 11/18/2007 10:04:17 PM | show profile Wrong! Olbermann issued a correction about the mishearing Rudy's mumbling. When was the last time Bill did that? I don't even know what you're talking about with 'hoosier university', but I'm assuming you mean Indiana. Do you have a link or something to it? |
| Iron Eagle | Posted 11/18/2007 10:14:19 PM | show profile When you debate Olby you're debating a month old potato. |
| Olbypocrisy | Posted 11/18/2007 11:32:01 PM | show profile Olbermann knew he was lying in the first place.Thats all he does. |
| newfrickinshow | Posted 11/19/2007 12:37:35 AM | show profile No Giuliani had turned away from the mic and mumbled Asaad. I thought it sounded like Osama at first, so did the Associated Press which was where the story originally got picked up. Keith occasionally gets stuff wrong, that can happen in the news biz. And Keith admitted he was wrong. You say that it's OK when O'Really or Hannity lies because they're opinion guys. I would like you to try and find a 'lie' that wasn't eventually corrected and/or apolgized for. Then find me one time Bill admitted he was wrong, because even you have to admit he hasn't been right every time. Prove to me that they don't think a retraction is what a pregnant woman has when she's in labor. |
