Get out there Olby, and do something to ease the pain of these unwanted children, give them love, a good home to grow up in, an education. Maybe after you do all of these things you might gain some credibility. |

If you look at the statistics, conservative states tend to have higher rates of teen pregnancy, divorce and drug addiction (at least in the methamphetamines department). This is a fascinating study done by the US Dept. of Health and Human Services: http://www.oas.samhsa.gov/2k3State/appB.htm#tabB.21 Showing that the "crazy states" tends to be in the south -- states with the highest rate of Severe Mental Illness (SMI, linked to drug abuse). Also, conservative states are more likely to be welfare states, sponging federal funds off the more liberal states. "Taxachusetts" pays more into the federal government than it gets back while Oklahoma gets more form the federal government than it pays in, according to the Department of Treasury. (Texas, to its credit, is on par: pays in what it gets back, but the conservative rednecks there are always whining about property taxes. If they had their way, Texas would be a welfare state, too.) |
