When responding to "blind" freelance writing ads on Craigslist or similar, how much info do you provide?

I've responded to a few of these ads in the recent past and have become more and more selective about how much personal info I provide.

The posters often ask for resume and clips but I'm not sure I want to share this with complete strangers - even if it is legit. I provide the bare minimum at first and ask for more info on their biz.

Thoughts?

Whether the poster is blind or not, I just refer them to my web site, which has my bio and clips. If I know who the company is, and thing they're a good fit, I must provide a custom letter. If they're blind, more often than not, I just send a letter than says: "Please see" with the link to my web site.
