| brrridget325 | Posted 11/27/2007 2:04:24 PM | show profile hi guys! going from previous posts, i read that BWR has recently lost their credibility due to arrogance and sloppiness, but would i get a genuinely good experience there? i've also been offered a position at ID PR - i searched around for feedback about that firm and have found nothing. does anyone have any insight on an internship at ID PR? i know BWR and ID PR are both large, successful firms, but between the two, where would i get a better experience? thanks!!! ps: both internships are in nyc |
| Nicole13 | Posted 11/27/2007 4:55:11 PM | show profile IDPR is much more structured and intense. BWR is a more laid back company but a little unorganized. Either/or. One would not make more of a difference over the other. It's an internship not a full time position. |
| brrridget325 | Posted 11/27/2007 5:37:29 PM | show profile what do you mean by intense? i'm aware that they're both internships and not fulltime positions, but i want my experience to be as hands-on as possible - where will i get the most actual experience (ie: dealing with clients, assisting at events, etc etc.)? *sorry to be so bothersome, but seeing as how they're both great firms, i'm really on the fence! |
| Nicole13 | Posted 11/27/2007 9:31:07 PM | show profile IDPR is very organized whereas BWR is a little all over the place. If you are interning in the talent division of either firm you will not be assisting with events as the corporate and branding divisions deal with events. As an intern you will rarely, if ever, be working directly with clients. A majority of your time will be spent making press kits, but most important is the relationships you build at the company you intern at. In the scheme of things, there is hardly a difference between the two companies. Just go with the one that made you feel most comfortable. |
