Time was I used to like watching Hardball with Matthews but I have gone completely off the show.
All Matthews seems to want to do now is scream and shout about how stupid or nasty everyone in politics is. He gloats over their mistakes - I think he mistakes this for "fairness" and "non-partisanship" but he is wrong. Life and politics to him does really appear to be all fluff and posing - as he says in his book. He is now totally devoid of any analysis and we are left with him picking on what he sees as every candidate's flaws - so boring.

Of Course!!!
That's why the show is called Hardball! You know, as in not softball. Seeing, analyzing, and critsizing and picking at flaws and mistakes is called... Analysis! Do you want him to start taking it easy on candidates and start kissing their asses?

"Mr. Giulianni, you were mayor of New York City on 9/11 and have sold yourself as the best candidate to ensure we don't get hit again. I think the question I and the rest of America are wonderins is, What do you think of the new Kid Rock CD 'Rock 'n Roll Jesus?'" If the candidates can't handle the likes of Chris Mathews, how are they going to deal with the likes of Osama Bin-Laden? I wish Chris Mathews would if anything, get more beligerent when dealing with some of these politicians. Democrat or Republican, go after them like a pack of wolves on a three-legged, blind, and deaf reindeer.

That depends on what the defenition of 'is' is? Ann Coulter's 9/11 widow bashing and promoting of assassinating Supreme Court justices? Bush's 'decider' speach? This is the kind of crap that should never die, and should just about kill the reputation of the people doing it. When Karl Rove said that stupid crap about Bush not wanting congress to pass the Iraq war resolution so quickly, because of all reasonings it was too political and there was an election coming up, I wanted to see Mathews start foaming at the mouth and howling at the moon.

Biased?
Regular liberal contributors like Pat Buchanon, Ann Coulter, and G. Gordon Liddy? I don't watch Hardball that attentively, but I don't even recall a major presidential candidate of either party going on Hardball. He doesn't hit liberals in general on his show as hard for one simple reason. THEY ARE USUALLY RIGHT!!!

What Matthews does is certainly not analysis - well, not political analysis. He never even touches on any political issues. He just screams about the mistakes they make in electioneering - the pose. He was all over Hillary for months with praise then he thought she slipped and wham, he was screaming about her "mistakes" in technique. We don't need a leader with great technique in electioneering - been there done that - we need someone who knows the issues and how to solve them. Matthews does nothing to enlighten his viewers on this score. Therefore I am one less viewer.
