Recently moved in a hurry, and can't find some of the old clips I used to show at job interviews. (I kept the original issues and would color-copy them when necessary.) What's the best way to retrace these--call the mags and ask for copies, or hit the library (mid-Manhattan?) and hope they're in the archives?

Go to the magazine/newspaper/newsletter, see if there are any leftovers of that issue and buy them. If they are less than a year old, probably there will be ... if not -- maybe not.

Chances are, at the very least, there will be electronic versions for sale. Good luck!

another good way to find stuff that ends up in an online version is google yourself.. sounds basic; but I've found a few that way. Also, if you know when your stuff appeared, you can visit online archives or order a back issue online
