I had an editor I used to casually pitch a lot of work to over lunches. And after he broke away and went freelance, he actually used a couple of things I mentioned over the years in a syndicated column. He didn't really steal anything. But he keyed off the basic premises of our conversations and turned them into a joke. I guess he kept all of his notes from those days. |
