You're not annoying me as much as I'm marveling at your stupidity because this seems to be the only thing you care about and . . . THE FOOD NETWORK gets more viewers than any news channel on cable. Hannah Montana gets WAY more viewers than BOR. Let me see if I can think of an analogy to describe a couple of people (probably the same person) on this board that seems exceedingly proud and happy over cable news ratings. (How fun they must be a cocktail parties!) Let me think. . . A dung beetle that drags a tiny ball of horse poop across a footpath in the Ozarks, stops and shots to the world I DID IT! I AM THE MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE! Does that one work? Maybe not. But the implications are, of course, the right-wing peanut that keeps making this same point over and over again that if Fox is more popular than CNN then America is a country whose majority are people who agree with Fox's news format. But if more Americans watch Hannah fucking Montana and the Food Network than ANY news channel on able television, what does THAT say about America. (Assuming the right-wing peanut's argument is legitimate, which it isn't.) As far as I'm concerned, the people who get their news from cable television are what one might call "the unwashed masses". The leaders, the players, the intelligencia, and the common every day people who want to know about the world, who are curious about the world, READ. You have made your point, sir. Your only point, it seems. Your mother must be so proud of you. PS: Crimedog -- you're worse than the peanuts here. You expect from them this condescending sarcasm. You, on the other hand, are giving progressives a bad image. There's nothing wrong with indulging this conversation, but these little tit-for-tat exchanges between you and Frank (who I EXEPCT to behave as he does because he's a right-leaning conservative who can't argue without the Anne Coulter Method) really are damaging you more than him. IMO. |
