| Write2Live | Posted 12/6/2007 6:24:15 PM | show profile Hello folks, Has anyone here ever landed an interview at Time Inc. by responding to an ad they saw online? I'm curious to know because I've applied for a couple of positions through their web site, but am beginning to feel like it's the black hole. Any feedback is appreciated. |

| rainydaygirl | Posted 12/7/2007 10:45:05 AM | show profile I once got an interview with them when they held their annual Time Inc. career fair sort of deal. I wish I could tell you how to get on the mailing list but I don't even know how I got the invite. Perhaps try searching online for more info but it was basically a mass interview where they bring you in and there are seven or eight HR people interviewing you like cattle. Not the most ideal situation, but it kind of gave you the chance to size up your competition and got your foot in the door. I didn't get the job *shrugs* but I was just fresh out of college. |
| Write2Live | Posted 12/10/2007 10:20:05 AM | show profile Thanks for the replies. At least I know they really DO interview! I think the best thing would be for me to send a note directly to key editors. I've had a little luck with that in the past. |
| sd2la | Posted 12/10/2007 10:56:04 AM | show profile Yes, I landed an interview through applying online. I didn't get the job, but HR was really nice and I've heard positive things about the company. |
| Chachiness | Posted 12/19/2007 7:41:50 PM | show profile | email poster I, too, have sent in my resume several times (or posted) it for Time Warner Inc (since EVERY job I have ever wanted is with them). Any suggestions? How do I find out about the "cattle call" interviews? Does anyone know any key hiring managers? |
