| crtyree | Posted 12/10/2007 10:58:00 PM | show profile 1. Too young for the Clinton debacle. So I claiming ignorance on that subject, just this once. 2. It is sick for someone to make up a rape claim for partisan reasons. 3. Let the facts come forward before making judgments. 4. OOOOOH, she has a website. So do I, and so do most of the other people here. 5. The Republican Party does not solely own religion. |

| Olbypocrisy | Posted 12/11/2007 9:19:29 AM | show profile crtyree The Republican Party does not solely own religion true So why don't we see CNN or the NYTimes do reports on the dangers of the religious left?? You can blame many deaths on the religious left. Hillary,Obama, and Al can stand in church and preach, give speeches and liberals have no problems with it.But let Rudy or Mitt give a speech in church than liberals will scream and go crazy. Obama's religion has no place in the debate. But the media can spend months looking at Mitt's religion Why the double standard???? |
| crtyree | Posted 12/11/2007 11:43:59 AM | show profile Last time I checked, it wasn't the religious left who called for the killing of homosexuals, like the WBC. Or call for the assassination of world leaders like Pat Roberts. Blame 9/11 on women being allowed to become pastors/priests, like Falwell. Or try to boycott anything and everything and want to stifle free speech like the Catholic League. And last time I checked it wasn't a person on the religious left who had fun blowing up abortion clinics. I'm more than happy to talk about religion, but i'm not going to roll over on this. I spent a great amount of time in the seminary my mother attended and later graduated from. I have been persecuted by "Christians" and I am the target of ridicule by those who claim to be Christians on television everyday. Also, I am sick and tired of religion having to be a major part of elections. No once should care about what religion a person is. This isn't a theocracy. But why people have questions about Romney's religion because it hasn't been around that long, and since it's inception it has been shrouded in mystery. I have no idea why people get outraged when a candidate preaches at a church. I think it is insane for a candidate to speak during the time for a sermon. If they want to host a candidate, then it should be after the religious ceremony. |
| Olbypocrisy | Posted 12/11/2007 12:45:57 PM | show profile It wasn't the religious right calling for the killing of "white interlopers." It wasn't the religious right calling whites ?blue eyed devils? and Jews ?bloodsuckers?. |
| Olbypocrisy | Posted 12/11/2007 12:47:29 PM | show profile I have been persecuted by "Christians" You should meet chucho .He has been persecuted by evil Christians to. |
| crtyree | Posted 12/11/2007 2:18:48 PM | show profile Do you know what it's like to have someone try to kill you? I don't mean in some vague threat by childish people on line, but someone actually, literally try to kill you? I have, and it was by the president of a congregation. Not very Christian like, now is it? Do you also know what it's like to be used as a piece of meat to bait the base of a party? In 2004 the whole Republican tactic of getting out the vote was to attack homosexuals...all to appease the religious wing of their party. I had the majority of my state say that I am immoral. I now can not marry the one I love, nor can I adopt a child. Because of the "Christians" that these measures were to appease, I can not live a normal life. Which is what they were supposedly protecting. Because of these people who call themselves Christians, my life is forever changed. It's a sad day when those who supposedly follow the teachings of Christ do nothing but spread hate and bigotry...completely the opposite of what Christ taught. So have I been persecuted? Let's see, an attempt on my life by a "Christian"...check. Ostricized by a law written to appease the "Christians"...check. Daily ridicule and hatred towards me for being a homosexual...check. Calls to exterminate my "kind" by "Christians"...check. Being called the downfall of society...check. Are there religous zealots on both sides, yes. But which ones get the most press? Which ones try to frame national law? Which ones are given time on air? Which ones have the biggest following? |
| Iron Eagle | Posted 12/11/2007 3:03:14 PM | show profile Frank - everyone knows you are the world's biggest liar. You're like a traveling circus act looking for a place to stop |
| Iron Eagle | Posted 12/11/2007 4:26:35 PM | show profile Bozo - if one were to sit back and recite the vile putrid hatred you spill over the board everyday one would question those who allow you to walk the streets without an escort. You are truly sickening. Read your posts..disgraceful. Is there anyone or thing you approve of. How do you live on planet earth without a straightjacket. Pathetic little manboy! |
| crtyree | Posted 12/11/2007 4:31:26 PM | show profile I did not mean to say that all Christians are homophobes...jus those that say they are but do not follow the practices set by Christ...hence the "Christians" part. Sorry about that. |
