| dribbledrive1 | Posted 12/12/2007 1:27:33 PM | show profile From the point of an editor receiving and a pitch, and that pitch turning into an article that appears in the magazine generally takes a minimum of six months and often longer. If the editor comes to the writer with idea, it can be shorter, because you cut out all the time waiting for the editors committee to discuss the idea -- that's already happened. To be safe, if your idea is timed to a certain month, I would send it at least 7 months in advance of that month. |
