I've previously posted a topic on recently graduating from college with a B.A. in Journalism and not finding work. So I want to try pursuing a career in legal proofreading because I'm good at catching other people's mistakes on paper. However, I've just stumbled upon this and wanted to know more in regards to how stable this profession is, and what are some good courses to take in New York. I've heard about columbia proofreaders and manhattan proofreaders. I want to hear from those who have taken these courses from the places listed above, and their experiences finding work. If anyone has taken another course for legal proofreading, please feel free to list it and tell me your experience with them.

legal proofreading
hi... hope you've found some employment. if not, you may want to look at entry level legal assistant positions. that was my firt job out of college and it paid $33k to do nothing but proofread 80% of the time. and that was 9 years ago! so... i'd recommend looking into some headhunters that can lead you in that direction, specifically.
