Wonder how much spit Matthews would spew if a republican stole and destroyed secret docs. That is why MSNBC is a failure. They pick and choose their issues based on their political leanings. They are disgraceful. |

(The original is still in the Archive) Will we see the RNC emails? the CIA documents and the rest of the subponead, and likley already destroyed US porperty? Berger never destroyed anything, he had a copy. Rove and the rest of the chickehawks of BushieWorld, have cost the lives of nearly 250,000 people since that oath was taken, and BETRAYED, in Jan of 2001. All the press, TV, radio and print think Bush is the worst and they will be speaking up, and will continue to bash and shame him, for centuries to come. |

I don't think anyone here, Crimedog included, truly believes that our President is evil. I do think a large chunk of the U.S. population believes the President to be incompetent. Most forward-thinking people didn't and don't have a problem with the U.S. going into Afghanistan post-9/11. The hunt for bin Laden is legitimate and necessary for the country. What they do have a problem with is how this administration has bungled Iraq. From essentially invading a sovereign nation under false pretenses, the inability to extract our armed forces from them, and the overall lessening of our nation's stature in the eyes of other countries. If President Bush was a CEO of a Fortune 500 company, the stockholders would have run him out of town. Please don't bring up his business acumen in Texas, he was playing with house money being the son of a US Senator/Vice President of the United States. This administration, with few exceptions, has been ham-fisted at best. Booooosh isn't evil, Boooooosh is incompetent. George Bush and crew has stymied each and every attempt at an honest and forthright investigation, except for the Scooter Libby incident. In which the defendant was found guilty, but his sentence was commuted to no jail time by the President. And the under 40,000 dead, that's just direct war casualties. According to Opinion Business Research, as of August 2007, the number of violent deaths in Iraq since the invasion of Iraq has been 1,220,580. 48% (585,878) as a result of gunshot, 20% (244,000) by car bombs, 9% (110,000) from aerial bombing, 6% (73,000) from accidents and another 6% from other explosive/ordnance devices. I think the differences in estimates come about as a result of the difference in casualty of war and casualties resulting form the war. And of course what's an idirect casualty can be somewhat subjective. Do you count people who die during a power outage at the hospital? How about murders from an increased crime rate due to the chaos of the regime change? Would you count car crashes resulting from eivilians trying to get away from a battle scene? You could probably get away with counting the people killed by the weapons stolen from Iraqi munitions dumps. You could count all of those, and you could probably get away with not counting them. It's kind of subjective and mirky. |
