| soulman | Posted – 12/16/2007 2:00:07 PM | show profile I thought the team of Chetry/Roberts was going to destroy the ratings of FOX & Friends, but unfortunately it hasn't materialized yet. A new set and different hosts is needed. Have a more casual set, with a couch or comfy looking chairs. My dream team of hosts would consist of Chetry, Jeff Toobin, Rick Sanchez and maybe Soledad O'Brien. This team would be a great liberal antidote to the right wing nutjobs on FOX in the mornings. CNN is the most trusted name in news and tells the truth, and it's a shame to see those amatuer clowns over at right wing news network pulling in more viewers. |

| soulman | Posted – 12/16/2007 3:23:01 PM | show profile CNN rules! Jimbo, Democracy is a great thing, but the fact that so many people are watching that Bush network is disturbing to say the least. Those viewers just want untrue and unrealistic news read to them by some bimbo. CNN has real journalists who know the truth and speak it. I was so jazzed when Kiran Chetry wised up and left the right wing Christian network for a channel that truly represents America, and that is CNN. I love how she went right to work at her favorite news station the day after she slammed the door on FOX News! I wonder if others at FOX have the guts to do the same? Kiran was longing for CNN, and I have to guess that she isn't the only one who wants to work where the truth about Republicans and conservatives can be told. CNN has integrity and standards. FOX doesn't even know what those two words mean. |

They need to put Soledad back on with Kiran and add Jeff Toobin and Rick Sanchez. They all have great personalities and strong liberal viewpoints as well. The fact is, people like opinion thrown in with their news, and CNN doesn't do enough of it. Liberals are a majority in this nation, and so CNN can capitalize on a huge market out there. |

CNN is seen everywhere, from airports to doctor's office waiting rooms. The morning program would be a big hit if they'd let Chetry beat up on her former employer. If anyone knows of the right wing pressure tactics at FOX, it would be her it seems. One thing is certain. They've got to bring Rick Sanchez back to the morning show. He's fantastic! What energy! |

Brian Williams has the big numbers on an authentic news broadcast. That is the ?secret? behind fnc and other successful networks. Not trying to slam cnn but for a long time they were the only game in town so they didn?t have to make folks happy or pay too much attention to what folks wanted to view. They just fed what they wanted. Now things have changed. Before fnc people who did not agree with cnn?s views had no where else to go. cnn can no longer be good just because they are there. Cnn and msnbc are driving folks away that do not agree with them. While folks may not agree all the time with what they get on fnc, at least fnc is not driving the middle of the road folks away. People say that fnc gets ratings because of fancy graphics and such. Well a lot of people have fnc on in the back ground and listen to it more than watch. Same for cnn. It seems that more people at this time prefer what they HEAR on fnc. A lot of people who tuned into cnn for years have turned to fnc because they like the way the news is presented to them, meaning fnc for the most part does not ram their views down viewers throat 24 hrs a day. Yes fnc does have different views than cnn, but you are not being force fed and you feel they for the most part are just laying things out for you and if you want another opinion just go look for it and make up your own mind. I must say that msnbc is far worse than cnn as far as cramming views down your throat. Cnn may not be as bad as they used to be in that department. I got off the topic of A.M. but it is the same thing. It is true that fnc and cnn approach things different as well as msnbc. The bigger network morning shows approach things differently again. Fnc knows the audience it is going after. Cnn is still stuck on why can?t they draw the same viewers any more and msnbc is going after the viewers that cnn is loosing because they are not left enough. A lot of people watch cnn just because they always have and they think there is no reason to change. I feel more folks tune into fnc because they are not as turned off by what they find. Maybe they don?t like fnc more. Maybe they just hate it less. Lol. |
