TV Newser - you've stooped to a new low quoting the National Enquirer as a source for a news story. What ever happened to basic journalism 101?

TVNewser uses MSNBC and liberal hate sites for sources all the time.

The Enquirer is a step up !!!

Voice from the mainstream media ...
You're not hearing it from us because until we have more solid sources, we're not about to open ourselves up to a MAJOR lawsuit.

I don't care of Edwards but this story is just wrong. If true, it's between him and his wife. This has nothing to do with how he would govern. It's time to take the personal crap out of politics. Let Edwards be.

Agreed Rocky Road, which was why I was stunned that TV Newser would refer to this story from the National Enquirer. When I saw the source as the National Enquirer, well, I was even more stunned this site would even consider using it as a source.
Is there no serious fact checking - at all, even a call to the candidate's office in Chapel Hill before such a post is linked? This is a serious allegation. While blogging may live in its own world, it does have a responsibility not to damage reputations without serious discourse with the party or use true sources of solid journalistic reputation. This site just posted it and I was extremely surprised at their journalism standards would include a publication such as the Enquirer.
