My top five best people of the year:

5. Vince McMahon and the WWE: This Monday will be the fifth annual WWE 'Tribute to the Troops'. The soldiers may not be able to be home for the holidays, but at least they can have a touch of America over there.

4. General David Petraeus: Iraq appears to be turning around despite the poor leadership of the Commander-in-Chief and former Secretary of Defense, and despite being used by the President as a political tool. He's done about as good as anyone could do considering the circumstances.

3. Bill Clinton: For works throughout the world with the Clinton Global Initiative. Billions of dollars put to help in enviromental, health, poverty, and education worldwide. It has gone a long way towards fixing America's tattered reputation.

2. Patrick Fitzgerald: The only person able to make the Bush Administration and those in the top echelons responsible for their corruption. One criminal down, about twenty to go.

1. Daniel Levin: He subjected himself to waterboarding in order to determine whether it was torture or not, despite he could have just looked at the army field manual to find that out. It was rather brave and he got fired when he didn't step into line with Alberto Gonzalez. For this reason, he's my person of the year.

Also considered: Al Gore, Dennis Kucinich, Ron Paul, and Russ Feingold.
