| Beethoven | Posted 12/20/2007 6:34:23 PM | show profile If you are a writer avoid this company. It's one of those prepack deals where the directors run the company into the earth (they were Conquest Business Media) & then buy it back debt free. I know they are still heavily in debt & freelancers fees are a minor consideration to them. |
| n.hussey | Posted 1/10/2008 10:41:03 AM | show profile WRONG Dear Beethoven, Conquest Business Media went into administartion in the UK owing over £3m to financial instituitions. All freelancers and staff we paid in full. SayOne Media brought the assets and is a new company, it pays all its staff, freelancers and suppliers. Get your facts straight or dont post. |
| Anselm | Posted 1/14/2008 5:09:14 PM | show profile | email poster SayOneMedia So far, SayOne have paid me up to date and reasonably promptly. I wrote for Conquest for 10 years, through thick times and thin - it wasn't 'run into the ground' in short order, as inferred. I'm fresh out of crystal balls but, so far, so good. |
| Madame Arcati | Posted 1/15/2008 6:21:11 AM | show profile SayOneMedia I've been writing on their publications for years too and, so far, I've always been paid. And that includes the new company as well as the old. Long may it continue. |
| Beethoven | Posted 3/6/2008 7:45:42 AM | show profile Not so wrong I notice you dont say Nick, you were a director of Conquest;or that elsewhere, such as here http://www.fishermarketing.co.uk/Newsletters/December%202007.pdf you report it as a restructuring, not a new company. |
