O'Reilly did homage for our troops in Afghanistan on Christmas eve thanking them.

Great show. The troops really love O'Reilly and they lined up to get his autograph.

Thanks Bill for focusing on our men and women in uniform. O'Reilly did a great thing by highlighting our people in the military.

...meanwhile MSNBC does a special on roller coasters.

...meanwhile liberals at NBC didn't want to run an ad giving thanks to our troops during the Holidays. UNTIL they were FORCE TOO.

The troops watch for roadside bombs.

...well I know that the troops don't watch that 'bomb' of a show Crotchdown with Keith Olberwomann.

Bill, thanks for doing a show about our troops.

You stepped up to the plate for our men/women in uniform...when others didn't.

I like blathering about the troops and using them as political footballs myself. They're so much more lively than pictures of aborted fetuses! Lol!

Keith cares deeply for the troops - Bill just pretends. While the segment was being showed Bill was laughing as usual.

O' Reilly did a great thing while Olbermann hides in his bathtub.

Doggy, that was actually pretty funny. +5 to you.

Two things Frank...
1) As I've said before, I vote Republican at the shate and local levels, so I am pretty sure that doesn't make me a 'lib'(eral). Just because I don't think red-baiter Joe McCarthy is 'great American patriot,' as you have proffered, doesn't make me a liberal either. Although I will say it is a tad indicative of where your mindset is.

As for going to Afghanistan, I don't know the answer, but from your all-accusing tone I sure you will tell us it was BOR. Not that it equates to a whole lot. By your logic then, Geraldo must be the epitome of journalistic integrity.

2)I was responding to Crimedog's quote, so it really is of no importance to you. He quipped and I thought it was amusing. I wasn't looking to join the ongiong Frank/Crime/Olby 2007 pissing match that has truly lowered the level of discourse on this board.

Maybe the three of you guys need to declare a truce during the holiday season.

Shalom

I don't think it carries much importance weather Bush, O'Reilly or Olbermann visit Iraq. Most go for photo opts - that's all.
The real stuff happens far outside the green zone and in the streets and homes of Iraqis - places BOR or Bush will never stray.

Frank - God's watching you and he's not pleased!

Oh, really tell that to the troops. Typical Liberal response

Oh, yeah, tell that to the troops.

They care that someone thinks about them during this time and O'Reilly went over and thanked them.

He always defends them...Meanwhile Olberwoman is MIA.

The troops would rather shake the hand of Pamela Anderson than that clammy mitt of O'Reilly. In fact - I bet if Pamela was rubbing turkey in Baghdad and Bill begging photo opts - Pamela would have a full division lined up to help with the stuffing.

How do you know who the troops would rather meet. You have no idea what the troops think. First most troops are not blithering liberals like yourself and you wouldn't know what they think because you are beneath them.

I am sure the troops are happy just to any person to come see them, since LIBERALS who run Hollywood are too busy visiting Hugo Chavez then our people in Iraq and Afghanistan.

As for Bill O'Reilly, thousands of troops stood in line to do a meet and greet with him.

...meanwhile no sight of Olberwoman.

That shows you something right there and you can't admit that the majority of troops respect O'Reilly, unlike Olberwoman.

Only freaks, 9-11 troofers and idiot traitors love Olberwomn.

hmmm I didn't see alot of substance in that show apart from Bill congratulating himself, and handing out pictures of himself. I didn't get the parts when other anchors back in NY were intervewing guests about Afghanistan and O'Rielly being there...shouldn't that have happened on the ground there?

like mussolini! . . . and ghandi . . . the cult of personality . . . the cult of personality . . .

i love my information to come from white men with whom i identify . . . because if i don't identify with the men on the teevee than how can i trust what they say? yes, the men on the teevee and me must share an ideological vision of america's future because we no longer need silly things like objectivity or "just the facts". what america needs s more personality!

the cult of per-son-al-ah-teeee!

Pamela Anderson wins hands down over Mr. Pretend to Care Deeply O'Reilly. That's the difference in being on this side of the news. Those who actually believe O'Reilly cares don't see the way things actually work behind the scenes - they are easily duped. O'Reilly's about image creating a facade for his audience. He could care less about the troops and they about him. The troops are far away from cable news and live outside of the box. Do you actually believe servicemen gather nightly to listen to this fraud in some stuffy tent? That's ridiculous. What time is Billo on - four in the morning?
Olbypocrisy Posted – 12/27/2007 9:59:44 AM | show profile
Olbermann is busy hiding in his bathtub and stalking women. He will worry{bash} our troops later.

Listen screaming infants - going to Iraq does not signify sincerity - it's a photo opt for certain individuals - O'Reilly being one. You can yell all you want but we all understand you are not journalists - never will be and your words are but fragments of faulty reasoning based on opinion. So scream and scream at will - nothing you say sticks or has merit or is based on facts.

You all make me laugh
I do think it is a good think that BO went to visit the troops. I do not think it was good that he brought on the head of the USO on and yelled at him for not having more "stars" going to Afghanistan to visit the troops. When the fact of the matter was there had a been a lot that had gone over. It just seems BO hadn't done his homework.

I would rather he had gone over there mentioned it and moved on. I don't need to see how much he loves the troops with an entire show. Those things scream photo opt, because I really don't know what our troops are doing there. They aren't looking for Osama are they?
