Its a common misconception which almost everyone suffers from at the beginning. finding an agent is more a numbers game than anything else. sharpen your query letter and start sending it out to twenty at a time. my advice is to send you e-queries out sunday night. Agents are most receptive to new business on monday mornings. send them out, see what comes back. if the response is bad, either tweak your query more or wait another week and try again. and try and try and try. it's usually a long and disheartening process. develop very thick skin. gooo luck |
