| nika | Posted 12/27/2007 12:35:21 AM | show profile RTQ Supersized! Love it! 1.What was your proudest moment in 2007? Winning an award for an article I wrote last year. That was pretty special. 2. What was your biggest disappointment of the past year? Having to sell out and do an awful lot of fluff pieces, rather than being able focus on investigative work that I would actually enjoy. 3. What was your greatest discovery this past year? I think I came to a few realizations this year on how I see my life and career evolving and where I want to be and what I want to achieve. I've come to realize that I don't want to be a journalist forever and will probably leave the field within the next ten years. I think I'd eventually like to focus more on documentary filmmaking. I find that you can say so much more through images than you ever could through words. 4. Did you make any new friends in 2007? Sure did. 5. Did you lose any friends? A couple. 6. What was your favorite purchase in 2007? Nothing is really standing out in my mind. I really didn't make too many significant purchases this year. 7. What was the most embarrassing thing that happened to you this past year? Haha, I'm too embarrased to say! 8. What was the biggest surprise for you in 2007? Hmm...not too sure. What brought you the most joy? Love. 11. What was your greatest accomplishment for the year? See question #1. 12. What did you fail? I think I failed to accomplish as much as I would have liked this year. 13. What is your biggest concern for the coming year? Unstability in my work and the underlying fear of moving to a new city. 14. What emotional baggage do you not want to carry into 2008? Hmm....I don't think I really have any emotional baggage. 15. What are you determined to accomplish in 2008? The plan is for me to move to Montreal in March to freelance and work on a documentary. So from the get-go it's probably going to be a pretty turbulent year. I think I'd like to finish next year feeling inspired and satisfied and hopefully working on a few fulfilling projects that will carry me into '09. 16. What would make 2008 a wonderful year? Success and pride in everything I do, along with strengthened relationships with my friends and family. 17. What are your predictions for 2008? Oh god. No, I haven't! |

| writesonwater | Posted 12/29/2007 10:03:13 PM | show profile After going to the Trans Siberian Orchestra concert this week, I would add the purchase of those tickets, along with those for Phantom of the Opera on Broadway, to the year's best purchase list. After spending sevreral days with my son and his girlfriend along with the rest of their family, I think a wedding would make a wonderful 2008 year. However, I'm on pins and needles because he's still carrying around the most gorgeous engagement ring. I'm trying hard not to be an invasive mom but it's tough ;) |
