TWO MUNDOS MAGAZINE AND CHEF HOWSOON CHAM CELEBRATE NEW YEAR'S EVE WITH A SPECTACULAR DINNER & PARTY AT THE VIP OPENING OF CAFÉ TROPÉ IN DUPONT CIRCLE - WASHINGTON, D.C.

Two Mundos Magazine's publishers Marcelo Rocabado and Jeanette Dove in association with Café Tropé owner and chef Howsoon H.O. Cham invite you to celebrate New Year's Eve with a spectacular dinner and party at the VIP Opening of Café Tropé. This event will feature a five course tasting menu from 5-9pm followed by a mega party featuring open bar, French & Caribbean hors d'oeuvres, DJ Rainier playing Top 40, Latin, International and other Pop Music, complimentary champagne toast at midnight, photos with Two Mundos Magazine and party favors.

The name Café Tropé is derived from France's charming port town of Saint Tropez and its
vibrant culture of sun and fun. In the more -laid back- Caribbean tradition, the "z" has
been dropped, which also infers that the menu is not an absolute representation of the cuisine of Saint Tropez. This inviting restaurant features bamboo flooring, expansive windows, warm red walls and faux finishes in the dining room, highlighting original Caribbean artwork. The private dining rooms, which can seat 30 guests in the larger space and 12 in the intimate smaller room, feature chocolate-colored walls with custom murals reflecting island flora.

Born in The Gambia, West Africa, Cham discovered his love for cuisine while working in local restaurants while attending Bethany College in West Virginia. After a short stint
at the Gambian embassy, Cham decided to become a full time chef, and began cooking at a number of Washington area restaurants including Georgia Brown's, under notable chef Cindy Wolf; John Harvard's Brew House and Willie & Reeds in Bethesda until the restaurant was sold in 2002. From there he joined James Beard award-winning chef Jeff Buben, working under Peter Smith of PS7, while also working part time at Georgia Brown's. In April of 2003, he purchased his first restaurant, Red Ginger in Georgetown, before opening his second restaurant, Café Tropé, in Dupont Circle.

Two Mundos Magazine's NYE event will be featured in their Design Issue - which will be released late February 2008. For more information please visit www.twomundos.com/nye.
