On health care he dumped all over the Canadian system stating Canadians come to the US for treatment and the US has the best system in the world. What stinking lie. Check out loud mouth right wing hate monger Glenn Bleck's recent adventure. The guy contemplated suiside. Glenn Beck has filmed a monologue on the apparently botched surgery he had and posted it on YouTube. He talks about contemplating suicide because of pain. He calls his care at a yet-to-be-named hospital "phenomenal, phenomenally bad." He went on, "I have stories that will melt your brain." The hospital in question also apparently takes care of, says Beck, "the President of GE". He's off the air this week and back on Monday. The YouTube ramble is a tease for his return. He also posted a note on his website that ends, "Join me [Monday] for my NEW PERSPECTIVE ON LIFE, OUR HEALTH CARE SYSTEM AND BLOOD SHOOTING FROM PLACES BLOOD SHOULD NOT SHOOT OUT OF." |
| UGoGirl | Posted – 1/7/2008 11:03:24 AM | show profile It looks like McCain may ultimately be the GOP nominee... I think he'd be far better than BushCo., but I disagree with many of his policies (Iraq, healthcare, etc.). But at least he's rational on global warming. |

I came away from the 1hr interview with a profound new appreciation for just how stupid a person can be and still rise to the lofty position of United States Senator. America truly is a land of opportunity. |

I know plenty people who endured hardship during war and few come away wearing it as a promotion device. McCain is incredibly shallow and arrogant. As president he would be intolerable. |

He came off like the narcissistic, me first, me only, me, me, me creep in the debate Saturday night. He wouldn?t let anyone else say a word. I cannot imagine that anyone would be interested in him leading the country. Fake, shallow, just creepy. I would not trust him on any level. Does not matter what McCain says about our Canadian health system, he has no clue what he's talking about. Sure, some Canadians go to the US for certain things but far more Americans come to Canada for health care. It is often a matter of who is best to handle the job. For instance, the young Iraqi child who suffered severe burns and facial disfiguration in a bomblast and ensuing fire.... our Sick Kids doctors were going to try to remove the enormous tumor on his face then realized that the operation could better be performed by doctors at a Boston hospital. He went to Boston the operation was a success. Every country could do better in providing health care but at least Canadian health care allows EVERY Canadian to be able to see a doctor and specialist, have an operation and hospital stay at no cost. I am speaking from over 30 years of personal experience. McCain has NO personal experience in Canadian health care; it is called hearsay in a court of law. I call it bullshit. |

At any rate, a new CNN poll indicates that McCain is the only GOP candidate who would stand a chance against either Clinton or Obama. McCain is at least reasonable on global climate change, but I worry this would mean more wars, etc. etc. |
