The journal is looking for poems under 45 lines, anti-war or pro-peace, contemporary or historical, and has published people who submitted from this mediabistro call in past issues. Each issue is themed. "Poems Against War: Music and Heroes" (Wasteland Press, 2007) is out now in a sleek and exciting 48-page edition. It features new poems Antler, Grace Cavalieri, Dike Okoro, and more. The next issue's theme is Ars Poetica; poems addressing that theme will be considered alongside war- or peace-focused verse. Submit by May 1, 2008 within the email text only to pawmagazine@yahoo.com. Include a 2-3 sentence bio. For more information, seek www.poemsagainstwar.com |
