Tom Brokaw posed the possiblility that, following the complete misreading of the polls and pundits, from now on they wait until the polls close to declare a winner and stop the day to day horse race. Chris Mathews reacted that this means he gets to stay home. Brokaw had to explain to Chris that NO there are subjects of substance that they can cover. Very sad.

Chris Mathews is a joke.

Yes...
A very stomach churning joke though. I think he is substituting vitriolic "attacks" for substance and intelligence - of which he has very little and probably knows it. The real joke is on those who give him viewing time.

Brokaw's Challenge
Good for Tom Brokaw!! Chris Matthews has been abusing Hillary for quite some time now, and denying it every step of the way. Chris is an idiot, in my humble opinion. He is SO ignorant, or maybe it is simply arrogance, that he doesn't even GET that he doesn't GET IT . Period.

We need more broadcasters to follow in Tom Brokaw's footsteps by being progessional, and diligent and respectful of the process.

Chris Matthews isn't the only one who has been doing this unmercilously...but there is also Ed Schultz and Stephanie Miller, who both vehemently deny being unfair or harsh on Hillary. It is simply ridiculous, and it gets me fired up. Just STOP THE MADNESS !!

And just for fun....did anyone else see Chris Matthews on the Jon Stewart's show plugging his book, and when Stewart kidded around with Matthews and kidded him the way everyone gets kidded on that show, Matthews reaction was that he just couldn't believe it and seemed to be insulted. How funny, since Matthews interrupts EVERYONE on his show, and treats them horribly if they differ in opinion from him. He certainly can't take what he dishes. What a weenie.

I hope we see more of Brokaw out of retirement for this election coverage. God knows we need him!

Brokaw is great!
Brokaw is the best of the best, well, except maybe for Peter Jennings. Brokaw tells it straight and represents the old school in news reporting. Can he come back and reclaim his old anchor chair?

Matthews on Stewart
Yes - I did see that show and laughed at the fact that Matthews COULDN"T play hardball when Stewart was throwing the ball.

He was so bitter against Stewart that he tried to take a shot at him when Bhutto was killed in Parkistan by saying something like those who made their living laughing at politicians - a attempted dig at Stewart - should take note that pols sometimes put their lives on the line. What a joke Matthews is - he can't take the heat himself yet he fires out at everyone who goes against his personal agenda.

I wish they would just take him off the air. I no longer watch him.

I used to like Mathews passion for politics but now he's simply embarrassing and his show is little more than an hour at Off Track Betting. I've tuned out myself also.
