She is the network's big star and has some very clear opinions when it comes to politics and issues. John Roberts is her cohost, yet he gets to cover all the big stuff while she does all the fluff interviews. Campbell Brown was just hired and she's already getting a primetime show. Chetry is perfect for CNN and I hope they don't use her in the wrong format. I admire Kiran like I do many of the anchors at CNN, from John Roberts to Suzanne Malveaux, Anderson Cooper, Soledad O'Brien and Jeff Toobin. Kiran is totally relaxed with Roberts, and when she worked with that righty nutjob Kilmeade at FOX, you could see the strain of working with that nerd every day. I would have dreaded every day working with him. |

At least Kiran is easy on the eyes when she READS the news. I do watch tapes of Candy while I eat - I'm on a diet and it is impossible to have an appetite and look at her face. |

Her day probably starts very early because she has to pick out what stories are going to be covered on the show that day. I would imagine that Kiran and John Roberts have a lot of say in what gets on the air in the morning. I just wish she would get the same airtime that some of the others get at CNN. Kiran gets no exposure during the big political programming at night. There are lots of other women who are on those shows, but Kiran isn't one of them. She's CNN's big steal, and many of the political views that she expressed at FOX would be very welcome at CNN. Kiran never read the Ailes talking points. She bravely let her liberal views be known then and I applaud her for it. She could easily do just as good a job in prime time as Soledad O'Brien is doing. And how about Suzanne Malveaux? She's good but Kiran would be better. Give her a chance. You're right about Candy. She isn't much to look at but she knows her politics. |
| stvj57 | Posted – 1/18/2008 11:57:24 PM | show profile i hate to say it but it is starting to look like soul"man" is a lezbo in love with kiran. too bad kiran is getting viewed by less people than if she was still at fnc. i always thought kiran was very professional and did a good job at fnc. no reason to believe she would not do the same for cnn. bill hemmer came over to fnc from cnn and is doing a great job. |

If I'm gonna let someone READ the news it may as well be someone easy on my eyes. CNN has to continue the FOX news lead and have BABES READ the news. FOX has the best looking news READERS in the biz and now CNN is trying to catch up - good for them. For now FOX rules. |
