I'm interested in producing some of those home improvement shows on HGTV or the foodie shows on Food Network. Can anyone give me a clue how I might do that? Do I have to "know people"? There's a large production company here in Denver that does a bunch of their shows and I emailed them about some possibilities but of course haven't heard back. I'm willing to start at the bottom as a "gofer". Any inside info would be awesome. Thanks! |

So, stress your design skills, prop hunting, organization, etc, on your resume. Take a look at realitystaff.com or mandy.com or entertainmentcareers.net to get an idea as to the skills that employers want--shooting DV camera is usually one that is useful. If you don't know how, learn. |
