Since y'all are all so wizened and I'm still in diapers (figuratively. really.), should I blog as a means of helping a potential career? And I don't mean this as in, "Should I have been blogging for the past five years?" I mean, heck, if we're going to talk about what I should have done with the past half-decade, blogging isn't in the top 100. Anyway, since I'm so low on clips that they can be counted on one hand while leaving the opposable thumb free for more important things, is blogging a good idea? |
| taetae | Posted 1/16/2008 12:54:25 AM | show profile I'm in a similar boat. I started blogging, not to build clips but to make some extra cash. The blog agreement I have is very liberal and the company pays $40 a post. Not much, but every penny counts. I've been applying for several Online Editor positions, I figured my blog experience could ony help. |
| Village Gal | Posted 1/16/2008 9:00:57 AM | show profile I don't think blogging is a good way to get a career rolling because a blog does not count as a clip. So if you need more clips, do what you have to do to get them. |
