| mgillespie2 | Posted 1/17/2008 11:42:57 AM | show profile | email poster I am looking for insight/tips for pitching business research analysts to dailies as sources. How much information is too much? Is it better to call and introduce the firm or send an e-mail with the firms qualifications? Thank you. |

Generally speaking, the best way to do this is to send a short bio carefully detailing your client's expertise and the subject areas for which they would be good resources. Be careful when sending bios to not make things too lengthy. ------ Cyrus Afzali Astoria Communications www.astoriacomm.com |
| nuluvbug | Posted 1/18/2008 1:37:21 PM | show profile I used to work for a huge trade publication in the beginning of my career and I always used business research analysts for my stories. I've used them occasionally in articles for newspapers around the country as well and my editors might ask who they are/what they do, but once I give that info, they're fine with them. Just make sure they really are experts in their field. |
