john edwards is trying to drive his story that we have too many vetrans that are homeless. the NYT is trying to tell us that the returning vets are commiting murders at an alarming rate. bush and his bunch would like to keep our troops where they are for the imediate future to continue to fight for what we believe and to help iraq and other countries. edwards, the NYT and their bunch want to bring troops hope asap.

bush wants to keep our troops fighting for us and the rest of the free world.

the other side wants to bring them home, where by their own estimate, they can be homeless and kill people.

don't you just love the way the left thinks?

the left has had rather slow bad news days comming from the war front lately so this is what we get from them. tripping all over their own information and solutions.

So leave them where they are - at least they'll get three hots and a cot and if they want to kill people, well, that's what they're there for.

Don't you just love the way the right thinks?

the right is not making the statements about the vets as the left has. no one is saying to leave them where they are as opposed to bringing them home just to give them a place to sleep and food to eat and licence to kill. the right never claimed correlation between troops staying in the field and less murder and less homeless. the left is claiming correlation between more homeless and murder and returning troops. just pointing out that if the left has little bad news to post about the war it will now turn to posting news to make troops look bad at home. and use misrepresented info to voice their allegations. i could have just as easily not mentioned bush and just said the nyt is saying returing vets are resonsible for an alarming amount of murders and edwards is saying there is an increasing amount of homeless vets, yet they both favore bringing them home asap where by their own estimates they can become homeless and/or murderers. if they can't blame our problems on the war they try to blame them on returning troops.

The vet situation is a crisis. There were 200,000 vets who committed suicide from the Vietnam War. Hundreds of thousands who were homeless and suffered from Agent Orange poisioning as well as mental disorders. Everyone must speak up for the.

I think Edwards wants to increase money to the Vet. Affairs to help out the Vets. Its a worthy cause to support, imo.

You hear all the time 'support the troops', yet it just seems like there really is no support after they get put through the meatgrinder known as war.

Hey, I support the troops; the magnetic ribbon on my bumper is all the help they need, isn't it? [/sarcasm]

please don't anyone get me wrong, i am not saying vets do not deserve better treatment or should not be looked after better by this country. or not saying that they should not come home as soon as possible while still being able to complete our objective. just finding a little humor in the idea that the left has to attack the war by trying to say that vets comming home are increasingly becomming destitute and committing murders.

It's a major problem - just compound that with the divorce rate - broken families.

It is disgusting that in the richest nation in the world we cannot take car of those who fought for us.

Regardless of what your personal view is on the Iraq war, the people who went to fight this war did so with the belief tat they would be taken care of.

Why the news media is not covering this in FULL DETAIL is absolutely a tragedy.

I call on all journalists wh o read and post on this site to PLEASE REPORT THIS GREAT INJUSTICE.
