| s38 | Posted 1/19/2008 2:35:09 PM | show profile I'm looking for summer editorial internships in D.C. I don't particularly want to work with a Washington-lifestyle magazine or anything politically based. I'm most interested in children's books, but I also have experience with magazine publishing and health and scientific writing. I'm also interested in working with textbooks, but all of the internships that I've seen listed for McGraw-Hill have been for New York. Any advice on good book or magazine publishers, fiction or nonfiction, consumer or trade, to check out? |

| catlondon | Posted 1/21/2008 3:18:45 PM | show profile Island Press is a small environmental publishing company in DC. And don't forget to check with National Geographic. They have a lot of internships with their mag, academic departments etc that might fit nicely with your interests, especially with the stuff aimed at kids. |
