Kudos to FishBowlDC for pointing this troubling pattern of behavior out. Matthews and Olbermann are partisan talk show hosts, not news anchors. What MSNBC is doing to journalistic standards should disgust anyone who's serious about this profession and the role it plays in an election process.

Both of these men should be removed from any and all election coverage -- immediately -- and MSNBC should issue an apology to both Fred Thompson and John McCain. Anything short of that is a disgrace to the field of journalism. Enough is enough!

How can you have a liberal activist doing GOP election coverage??

Check the hard hitting questions from MSNBC.

They ask about his hair, his unbuttoned collar, and his rolled-up sleeves.

They would be outraged!!!!!! Nasty rightwingers, worst person!!! Fox Noise!!!!

But its ok for them to mock the GOP .

Come on Fred Thompson's speech was a joke. The guy wants to call it quits and showed it big time last night.

Hey Dog..
You obtuse fuck....It may have been funny to you and other
Libs, but it sure as Hell dosen't merit a chuckle from
the media elite does it????????
Dog,I understant partisanship and loyalty to a political party....but what you're doing is just blind stupidity.
Iron Eagle Posted – 1/20/2008 2:58:30 PM | show profile
Jimbo - I'm trying to be nice with this but you aren't quite the brighest bulb in the basement. The guy gave a ridiculous speech that was most hilarious. I'm watching this and thinking it's a I give up speech. The guy is a disaster who never wanted this unless it was played out like an episode of Dynasty. What a fruitcake.
JIMBO99 Posted – 1/20/2008 5:46:11 PM | show profile
Even you should be able to grasp this Dog....maybe not.
If Brit Hume had mockingly laughed at something Dennis Kucinich said ....the MSM and all you Libs would be calling for his head.
Why should there be two sets of rules..one for Libs and one for Conservatives?

i say let mathews and ol'bor'man and msnbc say what ever the heck they want. the more the democratic race heats up the more the left will get a dose of the medicine they have been handing to the right for years. when the left starts complaining about these folks and how they conduct themselves it will be hard for them to defend them when the right complains as well. i can't wait for the day that the left quits watching msnbc because of it's far leaning left bias and slamming of democrats. you know it is bound to happen as the democratic party splits itself between obama and yo'mamma. mathews will not be able to keep his mouth shut just for the fact he won't be able to contain himself and olborman is just too arogant to know when to shut up. i can see it now, olborman giving his trademark diatribe monologue hate speach to hilary,"and i say to you mrs. clinton you should be ashamed of yourself sir!"

I was wrong to say earlier that they should be removed from election coverage. They should both be fired outright.

Florida Must Choose For All Conservatives
OK, Floridians - time for some real GOP straight talk. It's up to us now, and republicans still need a conservative candidate. That man - is Mitt Romney.

Three 1st place wins in Nevada, Michigan and Wyoming. Strong 2nd place finishes in Iowa and New Hampshire. And his Blue state economic credentials are winners in November against a classless liberal field.

*John McCain cannot win Florida's conservative voters. (or the U.S.)
*Mike Huckabee cannot find enough Florida evangelicals.
*Rudy Giuliani is Tested, Ready, poof.

The latest Florida Insider Advantage Poll: Guiliani 21 - McCain 20 - Romney 20 - Huckabee 13.

There's only one candidate who is clearly favored by noted conservatives like Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Laura Ingraham, Ann Coulter, Mona Charen, Kathleen Parker, Governor Jeb Bush and Pat Buchanan. Only one man.

Vote: Mitt Romney for President of the United States. We need this guy, yesterday.

i will make up my own mind thank you
if you don't think your man mitt can win without flooding this board with your posts then you may be backing the wrong guy.

What rules are you wanks talking about? FOX plays by no rules other than disinformation. Just because your guy Freddie is Dead made an ass of himself shouldn't disqualify anyone from pointing this out.

i see nothing about fnc and the only reference to fred is that he should be apologized to.

now what disinformation about msnbc and fred is fnc puting out that has got you all upset?
jazzreport Posted – 1/21/2008 8:46:32 AM | show profile
crimedog is obsessed with FNC.He is like Olby. He can't go a post without mentioning them.
Iron Eagle Posted – 1/21/2008 8:52:23 AM | show profile
Olby talking about Olby. Now there's something new. stvwank - read the original complaint it involves MSNBC's coverage of Fred Thompson and directly relates to that airhead speech after another resounding loss. I'm only assuming you're short on intellect and have trouble understanding much past four letter words.
jazzreport Posted – 1/21/2008 9:45:06 AM | show profile
This post doesn't involve Fox News. But crimedog can't help himself.

Fred is Dead!

Seriously
If you all can't honestly say that Fred Thompsons speech was a joke we all have a problem. What did he say in the speech that was so important? He came out and told everyone to stay strong at a time when results had just started to come in. There was no reason to even come out and do it. I mean KO and Matthews were laughing because it was a joke. If John Edwards came out and did the same thing, they would laugh at him just the same. What he did was ridiculous. Frank, Jim, or whomever else. Can you all really say while you were watching it, or whenever you saw it, you weren't thinking, "what in the world is going on?" I am asking honestly.
Iron Eagle Posted – 1/22/2008 10:12:48 AM | show profile
Fred made us laugh. Give him that much credit.
