I agree crimedog,what a great clip!!!!
http://insidecable.blogsome.com/2008/02/02/oreilly-on-the-demonstration/#comments

Only 6 homeless vets showed up.None knew who Bill O' was, none knew exactly what he said, and they all kept looking at at the producers that put them up to this lame event for what to say.

One of the producers kept crying" I don't want to be interviewed, please mr. Fox man, i don't want to be interviewed."

Maybe NBC and greenwad show take lessons fron Jesse Jackson and pay their "protesters"..

In fact, I get enough of a kick out of it that I will be forwarding it to my college friend who just saw his PTSD medication get more expensive recently. He was "stop lossed three times" in Iraq. Now he's out, and is haivng trouble finding work. I'll see if he wants to respond to Frank vile perspective that veterans' drug addictions are the problem not the underlying psychological issues that, perhaps,

Can we get names ,dates, and facts about your "friend"??

Are we just to believe what you say??

There are 17,000 signed names of homeless vets on the petition. Also, I find it difficult to follow the rule about personal attacks against others and if I continue to disobey this rule I will be banned. [post edited by pip]

There was only 6 who showed up for the protest.None of which knew who Bill O was, or what he said.It was a joke.Watch the clip.

The cowards who put this together didn't want to be interviewed by Fox.

Oh can you provide the list of theses 17,000 people?? Or is this just another of your silly claims.

Jazz, beleive it or not: it's not that hard to find a vet in your neighborhood. I'm not going to post his name here, and if that's your criteria then you are also a tool. (MB censors: please note the "if-then" quality of my statement. IF this guy expects me to identify my Iraqi vet college buddy in order justify my objection to the cliam that substance abuse is the underlying CAUSE of veterans with problems . . . THEN he is a tool.)

You guys are really amazing. Somebody points out something and you go off on some ridiculous tangent.

Let me roll back, Jazz, in case you didn't understand what I was saying.

The comments that Frank made here are deeply offensive. To defend BillO by saying that the problem with homeless vets is that they're all alcoholics and drug addicts is a vile, vile thing to do. Anyone who isn't a right-wing jacka*s will tell you that substance abuse is a symptom that exacerbates a problem but it's not a cause of the problem in the first place. If you don't agree, then, again, you're beyond redemption. That kind of throne-sniffing is despicable.

And you best retort is to tell me to name my friend and provide details is obscene. You don't have to believe me, but does that mean you agree with the statement that the underlying problem with homeless vets is their own substance abuse problems? That's REALLY the argument you wan to make? You want to defend Bill O'Reilly by saying the real problem with veterans that have issues is their own substance abuse? That this is the root cause of their issues? You are actually going to make this argument as part o your defense of BIllO?

That's pretty awful. I'm glad I'm not on your side of the fence.

Olby - I wish you could trade places with a homeless vet for just one hour. You'd never come back this way again. You shamed yourself beyond redemption.
