I'm a magazine writer and was offered a couple of assignments at an online site. They are offering $75 for 1,000 word story and $50 for a 500 word story. Are these rates on target for online sites?

Umm, if you can crank out 20,000 words a month and you still live with your parents, then you might be able to scrape by. Short answer: it might be worth it for a clip or two if your desperate.
