i am a beginning freelance copy editor, and i am about to put up a web site to build a presence and reserve a spot, mainly. i don't have an editing "portfolio", so i'm wondering what i should put on this site.

should i just put contact info, the services i offer, and the styles i am familiar with?

thanks, your advice helps me every step of the way :)

rephrasing the question
since i eventually do want to be able to show an editing portfolio, what does one consist of? and in the meantime, shall i put up my brief and simple resume?

thank you!

You might want to repost your question with a different subject... like "copy editing web sites" or something like that. Also, take a peek through the freelance marketplace and see if you can find copy editors with websites -- see what they post. I think that's the best way to start.

Good luck!
