Al Jazeera wasn't even available in the US at the time of all those terrorist and hostage videos. So, I guess you can "thank" CNN/FNC/MSNBC for graciously playing that crap for us, eh? Oh wait, "patriots" on the left and right never blame the messenger. When in actuality, Al Jazeera was playing the videos just like our "beloved" US channels were. Ah, but its so much fun to blame them and give our "patriotic" US channels a big fat pass.

Lobo.... the Wonder boy
>>>-I wonder how all the U.S. and Western media outlets that got pushed out to make room for Al Jazeera feel about this?

-I wonder how the U.S. Military?who lost countless brothers and numerous strategic edges in the War on Terror due to terrorist-TV?will feel about this? <<<

You sure are doing a lot of wondering.

As a Pulitzer Prize wining journalist, shouldn't you get out there and ask these important questions of the "Western and US media FEEL about this?

Shouldn't you get out there and interview some of those countless brothers AND (sisters BTW), how THEY feel about this?

Why are you asking these questions here. Only those you are wondering about can actually give you a legitimate answer, so go ask them.

How is allowing Al Jazzera to report the SOTU equate to "dems support the enemies of the United States."

Frank, that isn't the craziest thing you've ever said on this board but it probably the craziest thing that you will say today.

Seeing as how it was

Bush and the Republicans who did absolutely nothing to defend America as it was attacked on 9/11 (unless you call staring like a deer in the headlights as schoolchildren read a book in a Florida classroom as the Towers burned "defending America"),

and Bush and the Republicans who have let the true guilty parties of 9/11 remain free to this day,

and Bush and the Republicans who are such good pals with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, the sources of many things Al Qaeda,

and Bush and the Republicans who took us away from the real war in Afghaninstan and ran us into the false war in Iraq, wasting our soldiers' lives, military materiel, and financial resources on a lie of a war while the true terrorists grow ever stronger,

the obvious conclusion is that

BUSH and the REPUBLICANS are the true lovers of terrorists in this country.

Frank, you are way off base here. Pan-Arabic does not equate pro-terrorism. That is an extremely flawed (not to mention both myopic and intolerant) argument that you are putting forth.

...Do you think for a second that Roosevelt would have allowed a Japanese television/radio station to broadcast openly from D.C. during WWII?!? Or a German network air its pro-Fuhrer message?....

Probably not, but since Aljazeera is headquartered in Doha, Qatar and not Saddam-era Baghdad that is silly comparison. The US has a friendly relationship with Qatar, one of the more pro-western nations of the middle east. By the way, CENTCOM has operations in Qatar.

Not in the same league as the disaster Boy George and Dick have put us into, Frank. And let's not forget the Lebanon bombing under Reagan's watch.

And by the way, they caught and convicted the terrorists responsible for the earlier WTC bombing. Isn't Boy George still "looking" for Osama?

As for Al-J, I could care less about it. I watch it as much as I watch Faux Nooz.

Al Jazeera has a bureau in Washington, DC that is primarily staffed by Americans.

White Americans.

Americans of both parties work there, BTW. And this bureau opened while the Republicans had control of the White House, the Senate and the House, so they could have stopped it if they wanted. So either the Republican led government was too stupid to realize what was going on under their noses or they didn't think it was a threat.

Al Jazeera covered both the 2004 Democratic and Republican National Conventions. The Democratic Convention removed their banner and it's media team wouldn't work with them. The Republicans helped them get access to delegates and a few Rep. congressmen appeared on the network for interviews.
Really, do some research. The Republicans are cozying up just as much as the Democrats.

Yes, Frank, keep up the "LaLaLALA I'MNOTLISTENING!" school of debate and dodge all those nasty little facts that the right wing hates so much.
