| writerandeditor | Posted 1/29/2008 2:35:16 PM | show profile I have Quark 5. I'm going to be receiving documents to make changes in that will come from Quark 6. Will it matter -- do I need to upgrade? |
| darkfire | Posted 1/29/2008 6:13:36 PM | show profile Yes. Unless there's something I've missed all these years, Quark 5 will likely claim the documents were created by a newer version and therefore can't be opened. While you're at it, go straight from 6 to 6.5. It contains a lot of fixes that make it much more stable. |
| Letterbox | Posted 1/29/2008 7:45:47 PM | show profile Actually, just go right to 7. All versions upgrade for the same price. |
| darkfire | Posted 1/30/2008 12:24:14 PM | show profile good point. 7 has a lot of handy features that save you back and forth time between other programs for basic stuff like drop shadows, layering, etc. |
