It also was a milestone month for FNC, which secured 14 out of the top 16 programs in cable news in total viewers and eight of the top 11 programs in the A25-54 demo (live only data). FNC finished the month in fourth place in prime time among all basic cable channels. CNN finished 20th in prime time (despite the strong ratings from primary and debate coverage) while MSNBC was 28th. Click here to see the entire Nielsen Cable Ranker for January 2008. ? Also up for FNC: their morning programs, Fox & Friends is up year-to-year in both total viewers and the A25-54 demo. It was the only 7-9amET program in cable news to show demo gains. America's Newsroom (9-11amET) showed gains of 18% in the demo versus just 2% for CNN Newsroom and 9% for MSNBC Live during the same hours. |
