Usually, she doesn't disappoint. But Monday night... she really didn't disappoint. I was watching the show and while she was discussing the nationally important hunt for Cesar Laurean and I could swear she claimed to a reporter that she was a former federal agent! Well, I checked the transcript on the CNN website just to confirm and was shocked to see that CNN was covering up for Nancy Grace's lies! This is what the "official transcript" had to say: GRACE: Yes. I was so sad for many years. I`m very familiar with the federal government, Meg. Now, after I read that... I re-watched the clip 4 times to see if I was right and unless I have a major undiagnosed hearing problem, I swear she said "fed." Had CNN not covered up for Grace's lies, the transcript should of read as follows: GRACE: Yes. I was a fed for many years. I'm very familiar with the federal government, Meg. Now according to her offical biography on CNN, she "joined Court TV from the Atlanta Fulton County District Attorney's Office where she served for a decade as special prosecutor of felony cases involving serial murder, rape, child molestation and arson." And while it does claim that she "clerked with a federal court judge and practiced antitrust and consumer protection law with the Federal Trade Commission" it says nothing about Grace being a former federal agent. So why would Nancy Grace lie? Well, I think she lied to impress her viewers by claiming she was something that she was not. Why would CNN lie? I don't know, I guess the answer is the same to why they lied about the 2004 election exit poll results. To cover up for the people whos water they carry. |
