I've interned at several PR firms and Chiat Day Advertising as well as a start-up fashion magazine in Nashville throughout college. I'm interested in pursuing a career with a major fashion publication or fashion PR firm. Any suggestions on how to approach the "big boys" to get my foot in the door? I read horror stories about there not being any way in unless you know someone or have previously interned at a particular magazine. Surely experience and talent count. I know I will be an immediate asset if I can get the chance. Any advice will be greatly appreciated to insure that I do this right. Thanks! |
