No one else here is saying it (or perhaps cares), so I will. Way to go, Giants! It was a GREAT game, and fine football. A well-deserved victory. And it was pretty cool to see young brother Eli getting out from big brother Peyton's shadow as big brother cheered him on from a stadium box.

And, though I'm a Giants fan, the Patriots deserve kudos for an excellent season. They were the best team of the year. The Giants just happened to be the best team when it mattered most.

Pats are jerks... I am glad they lost.

It was fun to watch in the last two minutes.. I think the big story was the Manning brothers back to back.I don't think that's ever occured.

Don't think it has, crimedog, and probably won't for a long time to come. And both the MVPs to boot.

I was rooting for the Giants and it was a great game. But you know what? The Pats loss does sort of lend credence to the saying, "Cheaters never win." I never understood why the cheating was a bigger issue. To me, it taints their whole season.

I agree. If they went 19-0, there'd always be that asterisk hounding them, like Bobby Bonds' home run record.

The Giants offensive line was ferocious. I could feel the foward motion in my living room. Kept telling the dogs - move back someone's going to get hurt. The game was won at the line of scrimmage.

Yeah, it was great except for the halftime show. I mean, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers? What a relic. Couldn't they find anyone more interesting than that. It was like watching "That '70's Show." Those old worn out songs remind me of high school. But I guess they didn't have to worry about a wardrobe malfunction.

it was a great game. even i could see that, and i only barely understand football!

the pats coach revealed himself clearly as the a-hole that he is, post-game. he was totally ungracious and in fact seemed like he wanted to hit the reporter. this morning i asked a football-loving friend why he didn't lose his job over the cheating thing, and she reminded me that our president hasn't lost his job over the lying thing...!

plus the name plaxico is awesome!

plus that play where the guy held the ball against his head was amazing.

plus i hear that the pats' q-back, though very cute, is a republican and even does fundraising for them. so, all in all, a good result and a great game.

Someday we'll all work for Plaxico Corporation.

What's with Tom Petty? The guy is as boring as Garth Brooks. Never got his act, can't even recall a song. Crappy singer too. Way off key. This could have been an Alicia Keyes. Michael Bubble, or just about anybody else moment. Beyonce?

If they could have named multiple MVPs, agreed, the Giants front line did it. If not for their throwing off Brady's game by making him run for his life, Eli would have had to rack up a lot more touchdowns.

And I thought Tom Petty seemed sedated more than usual. Though Jordin Sparks (NY Giant Philippi Sparks' daughter, btw) did a very nice job with the Star Spangled Banner.

Oh--and the commercials were pretty lackluster, except for a few. My fave was the squirrel and other forest creatures screaming in terror.

I loved it. It felt like a David and Goliath matchup, with everyone betting on Goliath. There's a lesson about "Ya Gotta Have Heart" in there somewhere.

The Patriots did have a great season.

My husband laughs when I say this, but my biggest problem with sports is half the people leave the stadium/turn off the TV feeling terrible about the outcome, and can that really be good for us? ;)

It was fantastic to see smug Brady and Belichick take a kick in the crotch. All season they were building up to the most spectacular failure in NFL history.

One of my brothers was there (courtesy of my father's season Giants tickets); another brother had tickets he had acquired through other connections of my father's. Wish I had pushed a little harder for a couple. I really enjoyed the game...it was the best Super Bowl I've seen in a long time.

Funny, the comments about Tom Petty being over the hill. My 89 year old Dad was complaining about the half time show, and I can guarrantee you it wasn't about the group being over the hill. LOL.
